          Calling all enthusiastic humans! STEAM On is always looking for interested adult and youth volunteers. We are currently in need of many different volunteer positions. Keep reading below to find out if you are qualified to become a STEAM On volunteer.

Volunteer Positions List

 

Coach

Description: Work with a competitive robotics team as they navigate their way through this years FIRST® LEGO® League or FTC season. You will be mostly focusing on developing the soft skills of the students and working with them on their research project and design resources.

 

Qualifications: No prior experience is necessary but it is helpful to be well versed with skills such as graphics design, research, script writing, technology, handling students, etc. You may also be required to complete the STEAM On Training Program.

Mentor

Description: Work with a competitive robotics team as they navigate their way through this years FLL season. You will be mostly focusing on the engineering and design components of FLL. The students will build a LEGO® robot and your task is to guide them to complete this seasons challenges.

 

Qualifications: No prior experience is necessary but it is helpful to be well versed with engineering and design as well as technology in general. You may also be required to complete the STEAM On Training Program.

Operations

Description: Deal with the administrations and day-to-day operations of STEAM On. You will be asked to do various tasks such as responding to emails, designing marketing materials, curriculum development, and more.

 

Qualifications: No prior experience is necessary. It is good to have PhotoShop, email writing, curriculum writing, and other related skills.
