Every Thursday afternoon from 1-3pm, enjoy a nature hike, weather investigation, and exploration of habitat high and low at Waldo’s Rock Park in Marion with Miss Heidi of The Curiosity Path. Campers can sign up for a few classes or explore over the course of the summer to see how the park changes with the seasons. Topics vary each week, including Leave No Trace, Prairie & Pond Habitats, Weather, Insects, Animals, Plants, Journaling, and more. This class requires no prior experience and is designed for incoming K (with adult) to 10th grade. Sessions will be held outdoors, rain or shine but may be cancelled for severe weather. Please dress for the weather, including sunscreen, hat, and sturdy sneakers or shoes. Bring a water bottle and a desire to learn while having fun! Please check with us if you have questions. Parents should plan to accompany children 7 and under; adult learners welcome. Facilitator is first aid/CPR certified. Each class is limited to 12 students. Cancellation Policy: Instructor reserves the right to cancel class on short notice due to weather or other factors; refunds will be issued. If the student cancels within 72 hours prior to class, then no refund will be issued.
